Step 7. How to create QR-Codes

PDF

This tutorial illustrates how QR-Codes can be used to simplify navigation in the mobile Inspect App or Today App.

What are QR-Codes used for?

Sablono uses QR-Codes to simplify navigation in the mobile Sablono Inspect App or Today App. There are two different types of QR-Codes available:

  1. Deliverables-Codes: If you scan such a code with the Inspect or Today App it will automatically navigate to a specific deliverable. These codes should be used to mark single deliverables. Using it will save the site inspectors valuable time since he does not have to navigate through the whole application. After scanning the code the state of the deliverable can be changed.
  2. Project-Structure-Codes: If you scan a Project-Structure-Code, the Inspect or Today App will automatically set a specific project structure filter. These codes should be used to mark buildings or floors. If a site inspector enters the area he can quickly scan the code. The application will display all area-relevant deliverables automatically.

How can QR-Codes be generated?

Deliverable-Codes

  1. First, choose a Project that you would like to create QR-Codes for.
  2. Select “Deliverables” from the side navigation.
  3. Filter the list or select the deliverables which you want to print QR-Codes for.
  4. Now click on the QR-Code icon in the toolbar.
  5. In the following dialog please chose your preferred format and how many stickers of your sheet were already used.
  6. The QR-Codes will then be saved as a PDF file in your local download folder. Place the appropriate Avery Sticker Paper in your printer and you are ready to print and use your QR-Codes. If you would like to create adhesive labels out of them, you can use the labels from Avery Zweckform:
    2×6: permanent – ID L4776-20, removable – ID L4776REV-20
    1×2: permanent – ID L4717-20, removable – ID L4717REV-20

IMPORTANT NOTE: While printing, please make sure to un-check “Fit to page” box option to ensure that labels have the same scale as stickers. Below you can see the example.

Project-Structure-Codes

  1. First, chose a Project that you would like to create QR-Codes for.
  2. Select “Project Structure” from the side navigation.
  3. Click on “PRINT QR-CODES” in the top right corner.

  5. The QR-Codes will then be saved as a PDF file in your local download folder. Place the appropriate Avery Sticker Paper in your printer and you are ready to print and use your QR-Codes. You can use the following adhesive labels from Avery Zweckform:
    2×6: permanent – ID L4776-20, removable – ID L4776REV-20
    1×2: permanent – ID L4717-20, removable – ID L4717REV-20

IMPORTANT NOTE: While printing, please make sure to un-check “Fit to page” box option to ensure that labels have the same scale as stickers. Below you can see the example.
