This tutorial illustrates how to edit existing deliverables.
How to edit existing deliverables?
Many times the scope of the project is modified in several ways, causing changes to deadlines, workflows, addition or even elimination of deliverables. To perform these modifications in Sablono, the simplest method is entering the “Deliverable Progress” page through the navigation side bar. This page shows the full list of deliverables and it be easily filtered based on different sets of information. Below we will discuss how to:
- Change Name & Description
- Change the Structure
- Change Start & End Date
- Re-assign Workflow
- Delete Deliverables
To begin, we head to the “Deliverable Progress” page (Image can be seen below).
Now, the process to edit the items mentioned above will vary slight from each other. Here are some simple ways to edit the deliverables of your project:
Name and Description
Select the desired deliverable by clicking on the small white box to the left of the deliverable, then click on the Edit Date button on the top right of the page. Another method to change the start and end dates is the the Gantt-Chart.A window will open requesting details about the type of changes you would like to make (Please see images below).
If you, for example, select the Change both Start and Due dates option, a window the like the one below will appear giving you the option to make the changes you desire. After making your desired changes, click SAVE.
Move Deliverables to different Work Breakdown Structure
Select the desired deliverable by clicking on the small white box to the left of the deliverable, then click on the Move Deliverables button on the top right of the page (Please see images below).A window will pop up with all the available structures, just click on the structure you want the deliverable to be moved to.
Select the desired deliverable by clicking on the small white box to the left of the deliverable, then select the “Assign Template” button on the top right of the page. You can find more information about that here.
A window will pop up with the available workflows previously created, click on the workflow you want the deliverable to be assigned with and a confirmation message will be shown.
Select the desired deliverable by clicking on the small white box to the left of it, then select the “Delete deliverables” button on the top right of the page. Click “Yes” to confirm the removal of the deliverable.
NOTE: All the changes discussed above can be made to multiple deliverables at once, simply by selecting them (checking the boxes) and then following the same process.
